The Stuller wasserfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Italy with a total height of 342 meter and is located south of Stuls/Stulles, near Moos in Passeier, in the region Trentino – Alto Adige (Südtirol), Italy.
From St Leonhard drive west to Moos in Passeier over the Timmlesjoch Hochalpstrasse (ss44bis). Somehere halfway you see a waterfall (at least part of it) at your rights side, the Stuller wasserfall. Unfortunately there is no parking and it is almost impossible to stop. A little further there is a pocket in the road but not meant to park a car. It doesn’t matter that much because you will only see a small part of the Stuller wasserfall.
You will have a much better view on the road at the other side of the valley. At the big roundabout in St Leonhard take the exit to Christl and Breiteben. A very narrow (not very wel maintained) road runs up through a forrest with gorgeous views on the valley. After a few kilometer you will see two waterfalls not far from each other at the other side of the valley but this isn’t the Stuller wasserfall. After 5 kilometer (from the roundabout) you have a nice view on the 342 meter high Stuller wasserfall. A little further, at the Lienelehof (gps 46.8195, 11.18943) you have a perfect view on all of the 342 meter.
Best period to see the Stuller wasserfall is springtime or early summer. In summertime the waterfall can run dry.
When driving further towards Moos in Passeier you will cross a bridge with a tremendous wild and powerful waterfall, the Steiber wasserfall. From the bridge you will have a very impressive view down on an enormous amount of water trying to squeeze itself through a narrow gorge. Very nice to see.
