Barbara wasserfall

(Barbarafall)

The Barbara wasserfall or Barbarafall is a nice 30 meter high fan waterfall at the end of the Rauristal in the region Salzburg, Austria.

From Rauris drive further into the valley until you meet a toll point. After paying a small fee you can drive further to a big parking. From here it is a 3-3,5 kilometer walk towards the “Naturfreundehaus Kolm-Saigurn”. From here a trail goes directly to the base of the Barbara wasserfall. Follow the trail to Neubau Hutte.

A little bit further you also have a nice viewpoint form aside on this beautiful 30 meter high fan shaped waterfall.

The Barbara wasserfall is part of National Park Hohetauern with its many high mountainpeaks and small glaciers. Best time to visit the waterfall is early summer-summer, with warm weather, when there is a lot of snow and ice melting.
