Cascada de Espigantosa

(Cascada de Trammarius)

Cascada Espigantosa or Cascada de Trammarius is a superb waterfall fed by the glacier Pirenaicos. Cascada Espigantosa is located west of Benasque in the region Aragon-Lleida, Spain.

Drom Benasue drive west over road A-139 to Eriste. Park the car here. The trail starts near the river and goes up along Rio Eriste. Cascada Espigantosa is located near an old stone bridge called Puente de Trammarius.

It is also possible to drive to a parking near Cascada Espigantosa. In Eriste there is a road going up to Refugio de Ángel Orús (Forcau). After the asfalt road stops, drive further on the dust road with beautiful views on the valley. Keep left, the road leads to Puente de Trammarius, there is a small parking.

Cascada Espigantosa is appr 30 meters high and can be reached in 30 minutes time by foot from Eriste or by car (when diving up) with a 5 minute walk.
