Cascade Saut du Nabreil

Cascade Saut du Nabreil is a nice looking waterfall near Mérens les Vals (Ax les Thermes) in the region Midi Pyrenees/Ariege, France.

From Ax les Thermes drive south to  Mérens les Vals (road N20). There take the exit to “Eglise Romane – D322”. Follow the road and cross the river Nabre. Now it is difficult to find the church Romane but there you have to go. After the church drive a little further until you cross the river again. There is a parking at the left side of the road, at a small river (gps 42.655397, 1.845849).

The trailhead lies a little further down the road, at the houses (gps 42.654522, 1.846140). From the trailhead in Mérens les Vals you have to follow signs (GR10) to refugee des Besins. After appr 3 kilometers (60-70 minutes with an ascent of 500 meter) you will reach Cascade Saut du Nabreil, a nice looking waterfall in the river Nabre with a total height of 9 meters.
