Cascata del Botto

Cascata del Botto is a gorgeous waterfall near Rovio/Melano in the region Ticino, Switzerland.

Cascata del Botto is a nice daytrip when staying at e beautiful lake of Lago di Lugano. The waterfall is located at the east side south of Lugano. When driving on road 2 (E35) take the exit to Melano centre. Follow the road (via alla Costa) until you reach the church “Chiesa dei Santi Vitale e Agata”. Park your car here (gps 45.932557, 8.987156).

Take the path going east (via S. Felice). There are little yellow signs for Cascata del Botto. The walk takes approximately 10 minutes (800 m) with a descent of 50 meter.

Cascata del Botto is really nice waterfall in a beautiful environment. I have to check it out next time I am going to Ticino/Switzerland.
