Cascata di Samolaco
Cascata di Samolaco is an unofficial named waterfall near Samolaco in the region Lombardia, Italy.
I was heading to Cascata della Val Febbraro, driving on road ss36 near Samolaco, when I saw a waterfall far in the distance. I stopped at a path 9gps 46.244688, 9.426032) along the road and took some pictures. The days before it was extremely bad weather in the region, so I don’t know if Cascata di Samolaco is always flowing that powerful, but at the time it was a really nice waterfall to see.
I never heard of the waterfall and I can’t find anything on the Internet but it is there for real. The river Lunga drops down over 60-80 meters in a perfect vertical stripe creating Cascata di Samolaco.
It is possible to get closer to the waterfall but I doubt if the view will get better.
The name is Pisarota (or Pissarotta).
