Cascata di Stenico
(Cascate del rio Bianco)
Cascata di Stenico or Cascate del rio Bianco is a beautiful waterfall at the west side of Stenico in the region Trentino – Alto Adige (Südtirol), Italy.
When driving west from Stenico to Ragoli (sp34) soon you will see a waterfall at the right hand side of the road, just after a sharp curve in the road. There is a picnic area and a small parking lot just before Cascata di Stenico (Cascate del rio Bianco).
From the parking (gps 46.054805, 10.847885) you already have a good view on this fan shaped waterfall with a height of 30 meter. At the other side of the road Cascata di Stenico (Cascate del rio Bianco) keeps on falling for another 20 meter in a sort of canal.
Before I went to Cascata di Stenico (Cascate del rio Bianco) I thought this waterfall was one of the more beautiful waterfalls in the region of Trento. Yes it is a nice waterfall, but not that special. It is a nice area for having a picnic, a place to play with the kids, maybe to make a walk to the top of the waterfall. But the waterfall didn’t impress me that much.
If you are near Stenico visiting Cascata di Stenico (Cascate del rio Bianco) is something you can do. I stayed overnight in Trento (45 minute drive) but the next time I will choose to do something else. By the way Trento is a really cosy city, I enjoyed it very much.
