Dwoista Siklawa is one of the highest waterfalls in Poland with a total height of 80 meter. Dwoista Siklawa is located south of Lysa Polana, near lake Morskie Oko in the region Małopolskie.
From Zakopane drive to Lysa Polana over road 961>960. You have to park your car at the big parking at Lysa Polana (Palenica Białczańska) because the last part of the road to Morskie Oko is prohibited for cars. It can be very crowded and you have to pay for the parking and for the entrance to the lake. The walk to lake Morskie Oko takes 1,5-2 hours (5 km over an asphalt road). Halfway the trail to the lake you pass another nice waterfall Mickiewicza Wodospad.
At lake Morskie Oko, the trail with a view on the waterfall, runs at the left side of the lake and won’t take that long. A viewpoint (over the lake) on Dwoista Siklawa can be reached in 10 minutes (from the hostel). It is possible to walk around the lake to the base of the waterfall.
Dwoista Siklawa are actually two waterfalls in the same river, close to each other. But only the lower part is known as Dwoista Siklawa. The river Mnichowy plunges down over 80 meter into lake Morskie Oko.
There are several other waterfalls in the area. I think Wielka Siklawa is one of the better known waterfalls in Poland.
