Salt de Sallent (Sant Privat d’ en Bas)

Salt de Sallent is a tall waterfall near Sant Privat d’ en Bas (Olot) in the region Catalonia, Spain.
Salt de Sallent is not far away from Gerona (54 km) and can be reached by driving from Gerona taking road N141e to Angles and there road C63 to les Presses. In les Presses go left to El Mallol and Sant Privat d’ en Bas. Keep left until and follow the signs “Salt de Sallent”. Drive on to a parking near some houses near “el area de pícnic a la salida del pueblo”.
A roundtrip to Salt de Sallent takes appr 2,5 hour (5,7 kilometer) and the level is moderate. More information about the track can be found on the website of Wikiloc.
Salt de Sallent can be a very impressive and powerful waterfall after heavy rainfall but can also run dry. Best period to visit the waterfall is probably autumn or early spring.
The river Riera de Sallent drops down in a single drop over 100-110 meter.
Note: there is also another waterfall with the same name “Salt de Sallent” more to the south, near the village Rupit, also in the region of Catalonia.
