Cascade de Magenta

Cascade de Magenta is a nice waterfall with a single drop of 10 meters in Vallee de Lespone, south of Beaudean/Bagneres de Bigorre, in the French Pyrenees.

From Bagnères-de-Bigorre drive south to Beaudéan and there go right to Lesponne (D29). After 6,5 kilometer there is a small parking (gps 42.986679, 0.112700) near Prats de Bataile along  road D29. 

From the parking take the path up. The path leads to a pedestrian bridge over the river Ruisseau du Hourc. From here you see Cascade de Magenta cascading down over 3 major stages. Cascade de Magenta has a total height of appr. 30 meter. It is possible to walk down to the base of the waterfall.
