Cascade de Pissevieille (Saint-Claude)

Cascade de Pissevieille is a waterfall located near Saint-Claude in the Haut Jura, France. In summertime the perfect day trip with nice views and cooling water.

From the beautiful village of Saint-Claude (northwest of Geneve) it is a short drive to the waterfall over road D437 until you reach the hamlet La Rixouse. From here a trail starts descending to Cascade de Pissevieille.

I think it is also possible to take a right exit onto “route de roche blanche” which brings you close to Cascade de Pissevieille.

Years ago we had vacation in the Jura and we wanted to visit some waterfalls. Beside the great cascade du Hérisson, Cascade de Pissevieille is one of the better waterfalls. Somehow I missed this one.
