Bachfalle (Gries)
The Bachfalle is one of those rare waterfalls on a high altitude (2.350 m). Melted ice and snow from the glacier Bachfallenferner thunders down over 80 meter (single drop) and keeps on falling over appr. 60 meter.
The Bachfalle is located Near Gries/Längenfeld in the Otztal in the region Tirol, Austria. From Gries it is a 2 hour walk to the Winnebachseehutte. On the way you will see the Bachfalle on your right hand side. In early summertime when temperatures are rising the Bachfalle gets more powerful and becomes a real 3 star waterfall.
The area is called little Canada and is gorgeous to see. In the Otztal there are several other big waterfalls to enjoy like: Stuibenfall, Lehnerfall, Tumpener wasserfall and the Rotmoos wasserfall at Obergurgl.
