Cascade de la Tuffiere

Cascade de la Tuffiere is a very photogenic waterfall near Vuillafans (Ornans) in the region Doubs, France. It is an unknown waterfall but in a period with some rainfall very beautiful.

There are several hikes from Ornans that go to Cascade de la Tuffiere. If you want the easy and shortest way to access the waterfall you can start at Vuillafans. There is a small parking west of the village at gps 47.068608, 6.205617. From the parking walk west to  main road at Gîte La Tuffière and there go left. After 50 meter go right onto a small road that runs along the river Vergetolle (A la Breviere). After 2,4 kilometer (35 minute) you reach Cascade de la Tuffiere.

I love waterfalls that are covered with moss. It is also the shape of the stones and how the water is falling down that makes this waterfall so beautiful. It is not a very tall waterfall, I think approximately 10 meters.
