Cascata Miradouro Véu da Noiva

Cascata Miradouro Véu da Noiva is one of the more touristic waterfalls, you easily can visit, at the northcoast of Madeira, Portugal. You can view the waterfall from a distance. The viewpoint – Miradouro Véu da Noiva, is located near Seixal along road ER101.

When driving from São Vicente to Seixal you see a big sign “Miradouro Véu da Noiva”. There is a parking (gps 32.816209, -17.096349) and a tourist shop and it the high season it can be a little crowded. When we visited the Miradoura in Oktober 2023, there where a lot of people (with tourist buses) visiting the spot. Just like many other tourists we bought something in the shop: Madeira chocolate.

From the parking walk to the tourist shop for the best views on the coastline and on Cascata Miradouro Véu da Noiva. The waterfall drops into the ocean over a height of 30 meter. Not only the views on the coastline are amazing but if you turn around, the views on the tall mountain wall with multiple (low volume) waterfalls are even more impressing. I think the best view is from sea, but how to get there…..

From the parking you can see (in my opinion) the highest waterfalls of Madeira cascatas dos Lombos with a height of approximately 300 meter. There is also a trail (Wikiloc) going to the base of the waterfalls.

Afterwards you can go for a swim at the beach in Seixal or you can go to one of the natural swimming pools which I like very much. There are many other waterfalls nearby, along the north coast of Madeira. The ones I like most: Cascata Água d’Alto (São Vicente) and Cascata do Córrego da Furna.
